We make maintenance more efficient.
What is MAIN-TOOL?
Why main tool as maintenance software?
MAIN-TOOL not only helps you with spare parts management and materials management. It also helps with resource management, technical purchasing or contract management. MAIN-TOOL is software that we are constantly developing. It makes it easier for your IT staff to maintain machines and systems and to optimize runtimes. MAIN-TOOL also thinks ahead for you: MAIN-TOOL independently suggests maintenance activities based on comprehensive measurement data. These can be obtained, for example, with IOT (Internet of Things) and suitable sensors.
What can Main-Tool do?
With the triumph of smartphones and tablets, apps have become established in everyday use. One more reason to implement the MAIN-TOOL app for maintenance in your system. Our special solution for maintenance and technical operations management based on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Our development team is constantly developing the app and adapting individual solutions.
The MAIN-TOOL app supports all common smartphones and tablets, Android V4.4 + (Google), IOS V10.0 + (Apple), UWP V10.1 + (Windows app). The maintenance software MAIN-TOOL uses components from the Anveo Mobile App. The Anveo Group has been developing offline-capable apps and EDI solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV for over 10 years – always with the aim of optimizing business processes in medium-sized companies. The functionality is the same on all mobile devices.
The work orders give your employees the opportunity to view all information about their upcoming work with the mobile device. In addition to the functions already known from previous versions, such as the feedback of resources and articles, mobile users now have the option of starting and ending their working hours using a button. This saves the creation of a feedback line and enables the working time to be determined to the minute.
We completely revised the inventory in the MAIN-TOOL app. The new approach starts with the storage location and possibly the storage location and not, as before, with the item. Furthermore, an article no longer needs to be inventoried in its base unit stored in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
We have also developed functions to accelerate the inventory process. When creating new inventory lines, the warehouse worker has the option of “fixing” the storage location and the storage location. This means that when the inventory is saved, this information does not have to be entered again. The item suggestions are then based on the storage location and, if applicable, the storage location and are displayed in a filtered manner. This is much clearer than the selection from the complete article master. Bar or QR codes can also be used to specify a storage location, storage location and articles.
The recording of faults and defects is a completely new function in the MAIN-TOOL app. The mobile user can report, categorize and comment on a malfunction both when working through the checklists and via the main menu for a technical component. A work order can then be generated from the fault message in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
The article information is also new in the MAIN-TOOL app and provides information on the article itself, as well as on the inventory in the warehouse or at a storage location.
The preconfigured role centers visualize the maintenance processes, each with a different focus of activity.
Head: In this role, the focus is on coordination and reporting.
Work preparation: This role decides, among other things, which order requirements are to be implemented in maintenance measures, plans the activities and assigns orders.
Worker: This role executes the orders and reports back the required effort.
We make maintenance smart.

Are you a Microsoft Dynamics NAV partner and cannot yet estimate the scope of a MAIN-TOOL project, the general process and the feasibility of various requirements?
For these cases we are happy to offer you our MAIN-TOOL Quick Start package, consisting of:
In a web demo, we will show you how MAIN-TOOL optimizes your maintenance processes and maintains your systems as required. In the run-up to the workshop, we will install the MAIN-TOOL app or the MAIN-TOOL web portal in your demo environment. The installation can be used directly for the following developments.
In an on-site workshop, the solution is presented in detail, the feasibility checked and a precise requirements analysis carried out. It serves as the basis for project planning and preparation of offers.
Test the mobile solutions from MAIN-TOOL after the workshop for 30 days free of charge. Put MAIN-TOOL through its paces with your own devices and on your own infrastructure!
Mobile maintenance for more efficiency
Digitization is therefore also finding its way into the area of order processing and ensures fundamental process simplifications. Other areas of application are incoming goods, upcoming inventories and material removal for processing orders. The recording of technical objects is also possible with the MAIN-TOOL mobile app.
Plant inspections have been a concern for companies since the beginning of their existence, because no plant runs continuously without errors. Mobile maintenance makes it possible to increase flexibility and thus accelerate work processes. Mobile devices make it possible for those responsible to have access to their system around the clock and for tasks to be coordinated regardless of location.
The mobile recording of faults or orders not only simplifies order documentation, but also enables work to be started immediately, without all those involved having to come together in one room. Ease of use is in the foreground, tailor-made solutions, adapted to the needs of the company, are possible.
